Africa surpass 8.99 million Covid-19 cases: CDC Report

Africa-Addis Ababa: According to the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP), the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases throughout Africa has reached 8,993,087 as of Tuesday evening.

According to sources, the African Union's specialised healthcare service estimates that 225,661 people have died as a result of Covid across the continent, with 8,252,830 people having recovered.

According to the Africa CDC account, the nations with the greatest cases include South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, and Ethiopia.

According to the report, South Africa has the highest Covid instances in Africa, with over 3 million cases, followed by Morocco, which had 951,544 cases as of Tuesday evening. In terms of Covid caseload, South Africa is the most affected province, followed by the northern and eastern parts of the continent, while central Africa is the least affected province, according to the Africa CDC.
