The northern part of Japan was hit by Tsunami on Tuesday, causing distortion to a nuclear plant in that area. Tsunami has affected the same area, which was earlier completely destroyed. 

The Japan Meteorological Service said, "The earthquake, which was felt in Tokyo, had a magnitude of 7.4, and was centered off the coast of Fukushima prefecture at a depth of about 10 km (6 miles)."

No death was recorded or any major damage in the city. The center of the earthquake was Fukushima coast. A high wave of about 4.5 feet was observed in Sendai city near Fukushima coast. Being most agile to earth vibrations Japan records about 20 percent of the world's earthquakes prone areas.
