Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will hold a meeting on Monday to review the implementation of the Dalit Bandhu scheme. In this meeting, special emphasis will be laid on the progress of implementation of welfare schemes and Dalit Bandhu scheme with district ministers and local public representatives. To make the scheme a success, KCR is planning to hold marathon meetings with the officials and the scheduled caste community. It is noteworthy that under this scheme each beneficiary will get a financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh to start his own business activity.

After this meeting, the dates of their tour of the districts will be finalized. All the District Collectors have been asked to make necessary arrangements for the Chief Minister's visit and be ready with full information about the welfare and development programs being implemented in the district. The Chief Minister, who returned to Hyderabad on Thursday evening after an eight-day stay in Delhi, also proposed to hold regular meetings with officials of Karimnagar to oversee the implementation of the Dalit Bandhu scheme.

This assumes significance as the TRS has treated the Huzurabad Assembly Constituency by-election as a prestigious election. It seeks to establish that the Pink Party was in absolute command of the constituency and it is the party that matters and not the individual. On the other hand, former minister and BJP candidate Eatala Rajender is also trying his best to retain the seat. KCR had directed party leaders to file daily on-the-ground reports on the political situation and campaign by the BJP. He has also sought a report from the officials on the implementation of the Dalit Bandhu scheme.
