Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Naveen Patnaik has taken a big decision. He has removed the Higher Education Minister from the cabinet. Information about this has been given from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO). Sources have informed that CM Patnaik had recommended the removal of minister Rohit Pujari to Governor Ganeshi Lal. His portfolio has been assigned to Food and Supplies Minister Atanu S Nayak. Pujari is a two-time MLA. However, he has not yet responded to this.

Rohit Pujari was elected from Rairakhola assembly constituency. He was given the post of minister in June 2022 and the chair was withdrawn from him in June this year. There are many reasons behind this, but it has been learned that Chief Minister Patnaik was reviewing the work of all departments from 22 May to 2 June. During this time, many of his shortcomings were found in the Higher Education Department. He found the performance of this department to be the worst. CM Patnaik is currently seen in action mode. Earlier, he had asked School and Education Minister Sameer Ranjan and Labour Minister Shrikant Sahu to resign. He was replaced by Sudam Marandi and Sarda Prasad Nayak.
