AIIMS Director Guleria says, 'Corona vaccination of people above 50 years will start from March'

New Delhi: Vaccination campaign is going on in the entire country to get rid of Coronavirus epidemic. Currently, vaccines are being provided to health workers and frontline workers. The population above 50 years of age will start getting vaccinated from March 2021. These include those who are suffering from some serious illness and their age is 20 to 50 years.

Dr Randeep Guleria, director of Delhi-based All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), has given information about this on Friday. Dr Randeep Guleria also said that the list of high-risk workers does not include people who treat cattle and animals, as they are not treating Covid-19 patients. Dr Randeep Guleria, director of AIIMS, clarified that the priority of applying the vaccine depends on the age of a person and whether he is suffering from a serious illness.

Meanwhile, every day new cases of coronavirus infection in the country remained below 10,000 for the third time in this month. The number of people who died due to Corona's arrest was below 100 for the seventh time in February. According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 1,08,80,603 after 9,309 new cases of corona infection were reported in a day.
