On the other hand, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary, the Chief of the Indian Air Force (IAF), has issued a statement saying that India will need the latest weapon in the coming times.
The Air Force Chief told that many developed countries of the world are engaged in implementing the space domain effectively. According to him, countries like China are preparing to retaliate through ICR technology i.e. space. Let us inform that China is developing technology in space, seeing which America is also in tension. Recently, the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) of India had a meeting with his Chinese counterpart. In a seminar, Air Force Chief Marshal Chaudhary told that India should move fast in the direction of Mission Shakti. Explain that the Anti-Satellite (A-SAT) interceptor missile was used to destroy the Microsat-R satellite.
Referring to America and France, Air Force Chief Marshal Chaudhary said that the Indian Air Force will have to move in the direction of 'Aerospace Power' from 'Air Power'. China has rapidly increased the number of its satellites in the last few years. It has more than 700 satellites operational. Although India does not yet have its own aerospace system, work has started in this direction.
