Lucknow: National President of Samajwadi Party (SP) and former CM Akhilesh Yadav was on a tour of Kanpur on Monday. Here he met jailed Samajwadi Party MLA Irfan Solanki. Prior to this meeting, Akhilesh Yadav had gone to Kanpur Dehat and met the family members of Balwant Singh, who died in police custody. Balwant's family alleges that he died due to police.

While returning from both these meetings, Akhilesh Yadav, on the request of Samajwadi Party MLA from Aryanagar, Amitabh Bajpai, stopped and ate Maggi at Manoj Nishad's Maggi shop located at Ganga Barrage. During this, Akhilesh Yadav came to know the condition of the businessman. Along with Samajwadi Party MLA Mohd. Hasan Rumi, SP MLA Atul Pradhan, and former MLA Satish Nigam were present.

Tweeting a photo of Maggi meal, former CM Akhilesh Yadav wrote, 'Only with the development of small businessmen, the dying economy can breathe back in the BJP government, businessmen need encouragement and not corrupt raids.' Significantly, Akhilesh Yadav is strongly opposing the recent GST raids on businessmen. Akhilesh Yadav met SP MLA Irfan Solanki, lodged in Kanpur district jail, on Monday. After meeting for about half an hour, Akhilesh Yadav came out of the jail and lashed out at the Yogi government. He said that Irfan has been implicated in a false case, Irfan has not committed any wrongdoing, but one case after another is being filed. Former CM Akhilesh Yadav alleged that in Ramrajya, will the police decide what to do. Each and every MLA of the Samajwadi Party is being targeted for the civic elections. Conspiracy is being done against Irfan Solanki, police have made their fake Aadhaar card. Akhilesh has announced to start the movement.
