Lucknow: Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had given his reaction on the performance of farmers earlier. He has once again said, 'Such injustice ha never been done to the farmers. Leaving tear gas on the farmers who are protesting for their legitimate demands, water cannons and showering sticks is the civilization of which place? This is a terrorist attack of the government. The BJP had promised these farmers that they would double their income. Will give the cost of the crop. What happened to these promises? Paddy was looted during the BJP rule, the farmer did not even get the minimum support price. The land acquired at Jewar Airport is not being distributed as compensation due to desertification. The farmers of Uttar Pradesh, not only Punjab, Haryana, are also agitated and angry with the BJP's practices.'

He also said, 'India's economy is decaying. The highest corruption bribery in the world is here. Cases of custody deaths are also tops. False cases are being imposed on innocent people. There is exploitation in the market. The young men are ruined. The BJP tells big lies. The Chief Minister has announced to build a 10 thousand MW solar energy plant but the solar energy plant set up in the presence of former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam in the Samajwadi Government in Kannauj was supplying the tubewells, mill and power of villages to the farmer, but BJP government stopped it.'

He further said, 'The Samajwadi government distributed the most laptops in its tenure, gave a pension to the poor, ran the metro, it is running just the same distance. It was announced to run the metro in Jhansi, Gorakhpur, it did not run till today. The BJP government has no interest in development.'
