Lucknow: SP President and former CM Akhilesh Yadav has taken a lesson after the defeat in the by-elections in the assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. This is the reason that now Akhilesh is trying to bring back his original vote bank. Recently, he had said in a press conference that if SP government is formed then uncle Shivpal will be given the post of minister. This initiative of Akhilesh is pointing towards bringing the family back to their original vote bank.

After the split in the Yadav family, the SP has suffered continuously. On the other hand, to stop the BJP's victory chariot that is going on, Akhilesh needs to bring Shivpal in his court. There may be young workers present in his party, but now there seems to be a lack of leaders with an experience like Shivpal. The results of the by-election have also worried the opposition parties about their future. This is the reason that BSP supremo and former CM Mayawati has changed the state president and assigned the backward. Now Akhilesh is also trying to save his traditional votes.

According to political experts, he suffered a lot due to the split of the Yadav family in the 2017 assembly elections. In the last election, the SP got only 50 seats. Since then, the party had realized that this split is becoming a threat to their political existence. In order to make up for the loss, Akhilesh tried to compensate the loss suffered by Shivpal by aligning with his arch-rival party BSP in the Lok Sabha elections, but he did not succeed. For this reason, Akhilesh is now engaged in reuniting the family.
