Lucknow: Liquor shops were allowed to open for three hours on Tuesday amid corona curfew in Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh. The crowd of customers started gathering before the shops opened at 10 am. Customers were seen standing with two yards for a while after the shop opened.

People rushed to all the shops including Samad Road, Ramghat Road, Shyam Nagar with large bags. The customer's discomfort over alcohol was such that whatever brand was found they purchased when they did not get the brand they wanted. Full bottle, half, quarters were bought by the customers.

District Excise Officer Dhiraj Sharma informed that all the licensees have been given a concession to open shops for three hours from 10 am to 1 pm. During this period, sales will take place only under the rules of corona virus epidemic. If it is violated anywhere, strict action will be taken against the concerned.
