New Delhi: doctors across the country have decided to intensify their agitation against the delay in NEET-PG counselling 2021. A large number of resident doctors demonstrated in Delhi the previous day during which there was a scuffle between police and doctors on the streets. Both sides claim that many people on their side have been injured. Enraged by the police action, doctors have now called for a complete shutdown of all health services across the country on December 29, tomorrow. An FIR has been registered against the doctors at IP Estate police station in Delhi.

The Federation of All India Medical Association (FIMA) has informed that all health services across the country will remain completely suspended from 8 am on December 29. FIMA has said that the strike is being carried out to protest against the brutal attitude of delhi police. Tell us the Federation of Resident Doctors Association has been agitating for the past several days due to delay in NEET-PG counselling 2021. Earlier, resident doctors had taken out street marches on Monday to intensify their protest. The continued doctors' agitation has affected the treatment of patients in three centrally run hospitals - Safdarjung, RML and Lady Hardinge Hospitals as well as some delhi government hospitals.

Federation of Resident Doctors Association President Manish claimed that a large number of resident doctors of major hospitals symbolically returned their aprons in protest on Monday. "We also tried to march from maulana azad medical college (MAMC) campus to the Supreme Court, but the security personnel stopped us from moving forward,' he said. Manish also alleged that several doctors were taken into custody by the police and taken to the police station. However, he was released after some time.
