Hathras case: High court asks CBI, 'By when will investigation of case be completed?'

New Delhi: The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) a question regarding the investigation into the Hathras incident. The court has asked the CBI in how many days the investigation of the case will be completed. The court also said that the status report of the Hathras case should also be submitted during the next hearing.

It is noteworthy that in the last hearing of the case on November 2, the court reserved the order. In this hearing, the Bench of Justice Pankaj Mittal and Justice Rajan Roy passed these orders on the PIL filed. In the hearing held on Thursday, the court also recorded the hearing process of November 2. The accused also request before the court to put their point but the court rejected the application.

The court said that the court is currently hearing two points. The first is to deliberate and monitor the compliance of the Supreme Court order of 27 October and the second is to hear the issue of the funeral of the woman. The court also said that the accused have no right to be heard on these two main issues. The court also said that if their rights are affected in any way during the hearing of the case or they are likely to be affected, they will get the right to be heard.
