Washington: China has suffered another major setback on the Corona issue. After India, the US has also banned the Chinese mobile app TikTok. US President Donald Trump said on Friday that in view of the security threat, we are going to ban TikTok.

Talking with the press people on Air Force One, Trump said, 'As far as TikTok is concerned, we are banning it'. After the action taken by India, the demand for ban on the Chinese app in America was gaining momentum. Many MPs and agencies accused TikTok espionage and data theft. After this, now America has also banned TikTok. Earlier, President Trump said that we are looking into the matter. We can ban TikTok, along with this we are also considering some other options but he did not clarify which options he is talking about.

Two main US newspapers claimed that President Trump had asked TikTok's parent company ByteDance, citing national security, to give TikTok's US operations. It was also said in the media report that Microsoft is at the forefront of buying TikTok and discussions have also started in both companies.
