Amid Coronairus pandemic, this state decided to remove lockdown on weekends

Chandigarh: Corona cases are steadily increasing in the country. On Thursday, more than 76 thousand cases have been registered in a single day. Meanwhile, the Haryana government has decided that no lockdown will be imposed on weekends. CM Manohar Lal Khattar has decided that on Monday and Tuesday, apart from shops and malls related to essential services in the state, all other shops and malls will remain closed.

The government has issued these orders for urban areas. Now all shops and shopping malls will be opened on Saturday and Sunday as well. These orders will be applicable only for urban areas. The Haryana government took a major step on 22 August in view of the increasing cases of corona in the state. On the lines of Punjab, Haryana also decided to impose lockdown on the weekend. Under this, shops and offices were to be closed on Saturday and Sunday in the state, but the government has now changed its decision.

Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij had announced that Haryana will now have lockdown on Saturday and Sunday, in which neither offices will be opened nor shops can be opened. Vehicle drivers will be allowed to drive, but if someone does not wear a mask, his challan will be made. Lockdown will not be imposed on weekends also in Chandigarh.
