New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said that about 3.10 lakh people from low lying areas have been shifted to safer places in view of the threat posed by Cyclone air.52 teams of NDRF have been deployed for rescue and relief operations. Amit Shah has informed that the Coast Guard, Navy, Army and Air Force units have been kept ready for any of them and aerial surveillance is being made with the help of aircrafts and helicopters.

He has said that the storm is being suspected to be somewhere between Porbandar and union territory of Diu and he prays for the safety of the people. An alert has been sounded to ten districts in view of the threat of possible disaster of the cyclone, which has been placed in the category of ' very serious ' and it is feared to remain strong even after 24 hours of the collision on its coast. Usually, the cyclone is weakened after hitting the coast.

On the absence of Shikhar, coach Sanjay Bangar said this

Western Railway has decided to cancel or eliminate some trains originating from Gujarat in view of possible calamity due to cyclone air. The Western Railway has suspended 40 trains of the main route and stopped at a short distance from the partial completion of 28 such trains in view of possible disaster caused by Cyclone air.
