Kangana Ranaut and Ankita Lokhande starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is making quite buzz since the release of its teaser. In the film, Kangana Ranaut will be seen as Rani Laxmibai and Ankita will play Jhalkari Bai's role. Jhalkari was a woman soldier in Rani Laxmibai's army and also an advisor to her.

The popular TV actress Ankita is all set to make a promising Bollywood debut with this film. In a new still, Ankita Lokhande looks fierce and courageous as she is holding a gun in her hand. The still has only made us more curious to know more about her character. To prepare for her character in Manikarnika, Ankita Lokhande underwent rigorous training in horse-riding and sword fighting for many days.

Talking about Ankita, she made her acting debut in 2010 with the show Pavitra Rishta. She played the role of Archana in the show and became quite popular in every Indian household.

The trailer of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi will be launched on December 18, 2018. The film is slated to release on January 25, 2019.
