New Delhi: The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has lost power in six states in the last two years along with the country's capital Delhi. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which won only 3 seats in Delhi last time, was expecting a good performance this time. Delhi state BJP president Manoj Tiwari had hoped to come to power with the claim of victory in 48 seats till the last moment, but the BJP's hope of coming to power in Delhi was broken.

The political map of the country has not changed for BJP. Anti-BJP parties are still in power in 12 states including Delhi. The NDA currently has governments in 16 states of the country. 42 percent of the country's population lives in these states. The Congress has formed governments in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Puducherry through its own alliance or alliance. After coming to power in Jharkhand in the elections held in December, Congress has government in 7 states. In Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) seems to be going towards victory for the third consecutive time.

Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, CPI (M) -led coalition in Kerala, YSR Congress in Andhra Pradesh, BJP in Odisha and TRS in Telangana. Another state is Tamil Nadu, where BJP fought Lok Sabha elections with AIADMK, but it does not have any MLA in the state. Therefore, he is not a partner in power.
