New Delhi: The difficulties facing Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal seem to be increasing continuously. On the one hand, the CBI has questioned him in the Delhi liquor scam. On the other hand, in a case filed by a Gujarat university, the court there has asked Kejriwal to appear before it on May 23. AAP's Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh will also have to appear in this matter. The matter pertains to the degree of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Actually, Kejriwal and Sanjay Singh had made scathing allegations against the university.

The University Registrar, Dr. Piyush M. Patel, had filed a complaint under Section 500 of the IPC in the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jayesh Bhai. The university had alleged that Kejriwal and Sanjay Singh had said extremely derogatory things about it. Taking cognizance of the complaint, the court held that a criminal defamation case was made out against both AAP leaders. Therefore, the court has sent summonses to both of them.

Let us tell you that Gujarat University has quoted Kejriwal's statement in the petition filed in court, in which he had said that 'if the degree is there and it is correct, then why is the degree not being given? Why are Gujarat and Delhi universities not awarding the Prime Minister's degree? The degree is not being given because it may be fake. The Prime Minister studied at Delhi University; I studied at Gujarat University, so Gujarat University should celebrate that our boy has become the PM of the country. But he is trying to hide his degree. The university is engaged in proving the Prime Minister's fake degree correct.

Let us tell you that in this case, Kejriwal was also reprimanded by the Gujarat High Court. The court told him that the Prime Minister's degree is present in the affidavit given to the Election Commission and is present on the website of Gujarat University, yet in this way, asking for a degree from Gujarat University seems political. Having said this, the High Court dismissed Kejriwal's petition and also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on him. However, even after this, Kejriwal made allegations against Gujarat University, and now a defamation case has been filed against him.
