New Delhi: It is very unfortunate that at a time when the Delhi government is working closely with the Centre to bridge the gap in the oxygen quota allocated from the Centre for the state, the Central Government is making complete mistakes to hide its gross failures in setting up PSA oxygen plants in Delhi.

The Kejriwal government issued a statement saying it was well known that the Central government had decided to set up 162 PSA plants across India and tenders were floated in October 2020. These plants were to be set up by the Union Health Ministry through pm care fund and not a single rupee was given to the state governments. All these plants were to be set up by December 2020 and handed over to the state governments. However, the central government awarded the contract of 140 of these plants to the same vendor, who fled. As a result, 10 of these 162 plants across India have not yet been commissioned.

7 out of 8 plants in the capital were to be set up in Delhi government hospitals and one at central government hospital Safdarjung. After several follow-ups with the central government, plants were distributed to 5 hospitals in early March 2019. It usually takes 3-4 days to set up these plants.
