Lucknow: The war of words has intensified in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday (January 5, 2022) attacked Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former CM Akhilesh Yadav. Taking a dig at Akhilesh's dream statement at a rally in the Sambhal district of UP, the AIMIM chief said, "BJP sees Ram and Akhilesh sees Krishna. In Akhilesh Yadav's dream, when Lord Krishna said that you are becoming CM, then what is the need for elections? Just say that I have told God to make me CM now.''

Owaisi further said, "Even in my dream, Muslims from Muzaffarnagar are coming and saying that they will no longer vote for Samajwadi Party. They are asking me to raise his voice for our rights. Majlis MLAs will now win and go to the Assembly and raise the slogans of Naraz Takdeer and Ambedkar Zindabad inside the assembly. Owaisi said, 'I am fighting for your honour and these people tell me that I have come to cut the votes. I have not come to cut the vote. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the SP and BSP fought in the alliance but won only 15 MPs. Azam Khan and Shafikurrahman Burke won, so they won because of their strength. They did not win because of the SP. If your votes were cast together, why would the SP and BSP win only 15 seats?''

Owaisi termed those who talked about eliminating Muslims as enemies of Bhimrao Ambedkar's constitution. AIMIM Chief said, 'I am a Muslim and I love my homeland.' Questioning PM Narendra Modi, Owaisi asked that those who are talking about eradicating Muslims by holding a Dharma Sansad, tell who those people are. According to the report, Akhilesh Yadav had refused to form an alliance with AIMIM in the past. He had said that he has not taken any partner in the alliance who is facing a lot of allegations.
