GUWAHATI: The Assam Police on Thursday arrested the personal assistant of a cabinet minister of Assam on an alleged charge of rape. According to reports, the accused has been identified as Lakhi Gogoi, who allegedly raped his ex-girlfriend on the pretext of marriage. He was arrested from Japorigog area of ​​Guwahati. Accused Lakhi Gogoi has been sent to court by Dispur police. A criminal case has been registered at Dispur police station with case number 3821/21 under section 376,417 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
