New Delhi: Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in 5 states in India next month. These include UP, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur. Many experts are saying that the corona wave will continue after January 15 and till February. The Election Commission is also upset about this. The Election Commission has decided that the ban on rallies will continue till January 22 in view of the increasing cases of the corona. The corona has increased wildly in UP and Punjab, the two major poll-elects for the past few days. Let us take a look at the situation of corona in all the states.

Uttar Pradesh:-
UP has seen a sharp jump in active cases ahead of assembly elections. There are currently 84,440 active cases in the state, out of which 82,412 are home isolated. 16,016 new patients were confirmed in the state on Sunday.

Punjab:-
Corona infection in Punjab is taking lives. The number of corona deaths has increased 4 times in a single day. In the last 24 hours, 23 patients have died, compared to 8 earlier. According to a medical bulletin released on Saturday, 6,883 new cases of corona have been reported in Panjab.

Uttarakhand:-
The coronavirus graph in Uttarakhand is not going to stop. On Saturday, 3,848 new cases were found in the state and two positive patients died. With this, the total number of patients in the state has gone up to more than 3.67 lakh. While the death toll has reached 7,440.

Manipur:-
Corona cases are lower in Manipur than in the other four regions. However, new cases are increasing rapidly here as well. The state has received 116 new cases on Friday. Health officials said there are 4 security forces, soldiers, in the new cases.

Goa:-
Goa will also go to the polls on February 14. But the corona positivity rate there is much higher than the alarming level from now on. In Goa, active cases have crossed 20,000 in 15 days of January, from 1,671.
