Ayodhya: A large number of police forces have been deployed outside the ashram in view of the announcement of Mahant Paramhansa, the successor of the ascetic cantonment, to take up Jal Samadhi in Ramnagari Ayodhya. Paramahamsa has been put under house arrest (House Arrest) on the directions of senior officials of the district administration and police. Paramahamsa had announced to take Jal Samadhi on October 2 to declare India a Hindu nation.

Jagadguru Paramhansa of Ramnagari Ayodhya has demanded that the country be declared a Hindu nation by October 2. If that does not happen, he announced to take Jal Samadhi. This has led to Mahanta being put under house arrest today.  Paramahamsa Acharya has also joined the Hindu Mahasabha in the matter. The Mahasabha had also supported Mahanta saying that on October 2, one lakh Hindu Mahasabha workers will take Jal Samadhi in the Saryu river in Ayodhya. A heavy police force has been deployed at the spot to stop all this.

In a letter to the country's PM Narendra Modi, General Secretary of the General Assembly Devendra Pandey said the government should accede to the legitimate demands of Paramahamsa Acharya. If they take Jal Samadhi, it will be the entire responsibility of the Government. Supporting Saint Paramhans Acharya, who announced to take Jal Samadhi, the Hindu Mahasabha has said that nearly one lakh workers from all over the country will sacrifice their lives in the Saryu river with Paramhansa. Thousands of workers have started gathering in Ayodhya for this purpose.
