Ujjain: New corona variant Omicron has created a stir across the country meanwhile panchayat elections have been postponed in view of the omicron crisis in Madhya Pradesh. The government has also issued a statement on its behalf. Now, restrictions are also being imposed in crowded areas so that the situation ahead is not alarming. The Mahakal temple in Ujjain has also been banned from entering the Mahakal temple in view of the corona crisis. Some restrictions have been imposed for devotees to enter the sanctum sanctorum. Only one devotee will be allowed to stay in the sanctum sanctorum at a time.

The temple management committee has taken this major step in view of the crisis of corona and omicron at Sri Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain. Entry of devotees to the sanctum sanctorum and Nandi Hall will be restricted from 30th December i.e. Orders in this regard have also been issued on Monday evening. Earlier, Bhasma aarti and Shayan aarti were banned by the temple administration.

Priest/representative who joined the traditional pujas for a total of 5 days. All except the employees on duty have been banned from entering the sanctum sanctorum and Nandi Hall. Devotees will be able to visit Baba Mahakal only through the barricades of Ganeshmandap.
