Kolkata: The tussle between West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is not taking the name of ending. Meanwhile, Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Saturday issued an order that the session of the West Bengal Assembly has been adjourned. This information was given by him via Twitter.

Governor Dhankhar said that under Article 174 of the Indian Constitution, the state assembly session (without dissolving the session of Parliament or other legislative assembly) is adjourned sine die from February 12, 2022. Now the state assembly session cannot be started without the governor's address. At the same time, the budget session of the assembly is scheduled to begin next week.' This week a PIL was filed in the Calcutta High Court for the removal of Jagdeep Dhankhar from the post. The petition was filed by high court lawyer RamPrasad Sarkar. The lawyer said governor Jagdeep Dhankhar was working as the spokesperson of a political party.

The lawyer further claimed that he had earlier written to the President and the Home Minister seeking action against the Governor, but with no response from both sides, he has approached the Calcutta High Court this time seeking immediate action against the Governor.
