Patna: Flood situation is worsening in several cities of Bihar. The water level of the Burhi Gandak river in Samastipur is rising at a rapid pace due to which Samastipur Railway Division has closed the Samastipur-Darbhanga down line. Several trains have been cancelled while many trains have been diverted due to the stoppage of the operation of trains on both sections of the Samastipur Railway Division.
Many rivers are overflowing in Bihar, the impact is also visible on rail operations along with many cities in north Bihar. Operations on two sections of Samastipur Railway Division have been stopped due to floods. On the one hand, operations on the downline of the Samastipur-Darbhanga section are closed for the second day. Meanwhile, train movement on the Sagauli-Narkatiaganj section is also closed for the 8th day. The water level of Burhi Gandak river between Muktapur-Samastipur of Samastipur Darbhanga railway section has started flowing above the danger mark.
