Patna: A case of breaking the idols of deities in the Panchdev temple in Gaya, Bihar has come to light. At the same time, it is also being said that the priest of the temple has been kidnapped. The incident took place on the night of October 25, 2022. On the morning of October 26, people came to know about it. In view of the anger of the devotees, a heavy police force has been deployed.

Police teams are on the lookout for the abducted priest. According to media reports, the case is from the Mufassil police station area of Gaya. There is the Panchdev temple of Juna Akhara on the bypass road here. This temple is located in front of Sita Kund located on the banks of the Falgu river. When devotees reached the Panchdev temple on the morning of October 26, they found all the idols in a damaged condition. Some idol's hand was broken, someone's head. When the locals searched for the priest Tirthananda, he was also not found. On getting information about the matter, people of Hindu organizations also reached the temple.

A heavy police force has been deployed in and around the temple as the situation is tense. An attempt was made to find out his location from the temple priest's mobile. But the police did not succeed. According to police officer Manish Kumar, media reports have said that CCTV in the vicinity is being investigated. Something can be said about this only after the technical team and dog squad reach a conclusion. The SP has assured to nab the accused soon.
