Patna: Dr Mewalal Chaudhary, who was the most in the news after the formation of the new government in Bihar, has resigned from his post. He became the new Minister of Education but now he has resigned. Seeing his resignation, the opposition called it its victory. Meanwhile, the question now remains, 'Why did he resign despite being close to CM Nitish Kumar?' With this issue, Dr Mewalal talked with a famous website.

In this conversation, he said that he did this to save the image of CM Nitish. He said, 'Being a true soldier of Nitish Kumar does not want to harm his image in any manner, so I myself offered to resign. He will not continue in this post until he is proved clean. While vice-chancellor of Bihar Agricultural University (BAU), Mewalal Chaudhary was accused of corruption and an FIR was also lodged against him. He was suspended from Janata Dal-United (JDU). For this reason, the opposition was constantly targeting the Nitish government.

Dr Mevalal Chaudhary was the Vice-Chancellor of Bhagalpur Agricultural University till the year 2015 before joining politics. After his retirement in 2015, he entered politics. He then took a ticket from JDU and won the election from Tarapur. After his election, he was charged in the appointment scam. The MLA took interim bail from the court in this case.
