Patna: The ongoing politics over the demand for special status in Bihar is not taking the name of stopping. After JDU national president Lalan Singh, now CM Nitish Kumar's statement has also come out. CM Nitish Kumar has said that the demand for a special state is in the interest of the state. Nitish Kumar said, "The demand for special status is not in the interest of the individual but in the interest of the state. For this, we have been raising our voice, it is the decision of the central government not to give. If the special status is granted, the state will develop rapidly.'' He said, 'The Centre's share will be 90 per cent, while the state will have to give 10 per cent, it will lead to the speedy development of the state. The work that's going on right now will be fast. You see, we have put our side on every front for the status of a particular state, the NDA was in the government.'

Reacting to Nitish Kumar's statement, BJP MLC Naval Kishore Yadav said that anything can be sought from the Centre but it is not possible to get everything. Nawal Kishore Yadav said that whether it is CM Nitish Kumar or JDU national president Lalan Singh if he talks about the special status of Bihar, he will never get it.

It is worth noting that the politics of the demand for a special state in Bihar is fast. On social media, JDU president Lalan Singh has been continuously tweeting demanding special status for Bihar. At the same time, the opposition alleges that the CM is failing to get the special status of the state even after having a double engine government.
