Politics Isn't About Personal Gain," Asserts BJP Nominee Ujjwal Nikam:Ujjwal Nikam, the Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate for the Mumbai North Central Lok Sabha seat, emphasized his commitment to public service, stating he's not driven by personal ambitions in politics. Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for enhancing India's global standing, Nikam expressed his desire to contribute to Modi's vision.

"This marks a significant chapter in my life. Prime Minister Modi has tirelessly worked for the common people, elevating our nation's reputation worldwide. I aim to align with his vision and ensure our country isn't belittled on the global stage. My involvement in politics isn't for self-gain," Nikam asserted.

Highlighting his career as a prosecutor, Nikam underscored his dedication to upholding justice. He clarified his resignation from cases he was prosecuting, including those related to the 1993 blasts, the 26/11 terror attacks, and the Aurangabad arms haul, ahead of filing his nomination for the Lok Sabha elections. However, he expressed willingness to resume prosecution if required.

"While I can no longer prosecute in these cases, I remain open to serving as a Special Public Prosecutor again if the government deems it necessary," Nikam stated.
