New Delhi: The four-day fast of Chhath Puja started from October 28. The first day of this festival is called 'Nahay-Khay'. On this day, devotees bathe in the holy river and eat sattvic food. This time in the national capital Delhi, for the first time after the Corona period, a government announcement has been made to celebrate Chhath publicly. Under this, the ghats are being prepared. Meanwhile, the issue of pollution in Yamuna has arisen once again. Pollution and foam in the Yamuna river are a cause of trouble for the devotees. The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) is sprinkling chemicals to remove the foam. Politics has started on this too.

Let us tell you that DJB comes under Delhi Government. Opponents of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are saying that the Arvind Kejriwal government is spraying toxic chemicals in Yamuna on the campaign to remove foam by sprinkling chemicals. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari on Thursday accused the Delhi government of spraying toxic chemicals to remove foam from the Yamuna ahead of Chhath Puja. At the same time, AAP has called it wrong.

Let us tell you that the chairman of DJB is Saurabh Bhardwaj, the leader of AAP. He has said on BJP's allegations that BJP leaders should take some knowledge of science and technology. The Delhi Jal Board had started preparations to reduce the foam in the Yamuna more than a month ago so that devotees can worship the sun god on the Chhath festival. Later, the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) has also recommended similar steps adopted by DJB to check froth in Yamuna, Bharadwaj said.
