Bangalore: Tragedy struck during an election campaign in Vinayakanagar at KR Puram in Bengaluru as a Bharatiya Janata Party worker, identified as Prakash, lost his life after allegedly colliding with the open door of Union Minister of State for Agriculture Shobha Karandlaje's car on Monday. The unfortunate incident occurred when Prakash was campaigning for the party.
Following the collision, Prakash was reportedly run over by another vehicle, resulting in his untimely demise. The Traffic police have seized the car belonging to the Union minister for further investigation.
Expressing her condolences, Shobha Karandlaje remarked, "It is deeply saddening to hear about the loss of our loyal party worker Prakash, who was actively involved in our campaign efforts. This incident has taken us by surprise, and we stand in solidarity with his family during this difficult time. I have instructed the doctors to conduct a postmortem promptly to ascertain the cause of his death."
Further details regarding the incident are currently awaited as investigations continue.
