Fans have requested that Jennie, a member of BLACKPINK, be protected, and YG Entertainment has heeded their calls. As a result of the celebrity's personal images being circulated, her right to privacy has been violated. A selfie of her and BTS member V that appeared to have been shot during a "date" recently went viral online, sparking more rumours and requests for clarification from the agency and the K-pop star.

On October 3, YG Entertainment issued a statement to make it clear that they had in fact done the necessary action. They stated that the agency reported the incident to the police, who opened an inquiry and prepared to file a lawsuit against those responsible for the unauthorised use of Jennie's private images. They are going to go after the guy who posted the photographs online. They said that the organisation had filed a complaint in September and that it had been regularly monitoring the content being distributed online.

They also mentioned that YG Entertainment had held back on commenting and taking a position in order to lessen the harm brought on by the issue, but they found it hard to stay back any longer as harassment, sexual assault, and invasion of privacy emerged as their top concerns.

Without showing any mercy, the agency will pursue legal action to correct the issue. They will be held accountable for defamation of character as well as violating the law's prohibition on the distribution of information illegally for their frequent sharing of dubious content and making overly hateful posts against their artist. Laws will also be enforced against any secondary sharing of photographs that have been illegally released.

In a recent notification, BigHit MUSIC cited a malicious person who propagated rumours as one of their legal actions to defend their artist, leading fans to believe that the subject was BTS's V, whose photographs circulated online.
