Mumbai Police said on Tuesday, December 26, that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) along with other banks such as HDFC and ICICI received a serious bomb threat. The threat was conveyed via email, asserting the placement of explosive devices at 11 different spots in Mumbai.

The sender explicitly demanded the immediate resignation of RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The Mumbai Police promptly responded by conducting thorough investigations at all 11 locations mentioned but found no evidence of any explosives.

In light of this alarming situation, Mumbai Police have registered a case and are actively pursuing the investigation. The safety authorities are diligently working to ensure the security and well-being of the city amidst these concerning circumstances.
