Breaking News: Tamil Nadu MLA E Thirumahan Everaa is no more

CHENNAI: Congress MLA from Erode East constituency, Chennai and son of Ex Union minister E V K S Elangovan, E Thirumahan Everaa, aged 46, died on Wednesday, January 4, following a massive heart attack, the party said.  

The sitting legislator passed away at a private hospital in Erode on Wednesday afternoon. Evera complained of chest pain and became unwell. When the pain intensified, he was admitted to the hospital.

His father EVKS Elangovan was an Ex-Union Minister and a former TNCC president. Elangovan is the grandson of Periyar E.V.S. Ramaswamy's brother Krishnaswamy.

TNCC President K S Alagiri condoled his party colleague's death and expressed his sympathies with Elangovan, a former chief of the Congress' state unit. In his condolence message, Alagiri expressed shock and anguish over Everaa's demise and hailed him as a progressive youngster.
