London: Farmers in the United Kingdom are now benefiting from the production of power from cow dung. These farmers are utilising cow dung to make AA-size 'battery.' These 'Patteries' can be replenished as well. It is currently thought that these rechargeable 'patrees' might contribute significantly to the country's renewable energy. According to studies, 1 kilogramme of cow dung may create 3.75 kWh (kW) of power.

For example, one kg of cow dung can provide enough electricity to run a vacuum cleaner for up to 5 hours or iron your clothing for 3.5 hours. A dairy cooperative organisation known as 'Arla' manufactured these batteries. GP Batteries, a battery business, has aided the farmers in this endeavour. Both firms claim that three dwellings can be electrified for a year using cow manure. As a result, if 4.6 lakh cow dung is collected and used in energy generation, 1.2 million families in the UK will not experience a complete year of power outages. Experts describe it as a reliable and consistent form of electricity generation. The 'Arla' company's cows alone produce 10 lakh tonnes of dung per year. The method of 'Anaerobic Digestion (aerobic digestion)' is used to generate electricity from dung.
Dung is converted down into biogas and biofertilizers using this method. Farmers in the United Kingdom claim it's a unique endeavour that can alleviate a huge problem in the country by appropriately utilising ample excrement. He claims that he uses the same amount of energy in his crops and throughout his estate, but that his capacity is far higher. Even the waste left over after producing electricity from dung is used in the fields as manure.
Once the biogas has been removed, it is transferred to a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant, where energy, in the form of electricity, is created from the manure. In biogas and biofertilizer, the manure is broken down in the absence of oxygen. This is done in an 'Anaerobic Digestor,' which is a sealed oxygen-free tank. As a final product, biogas is produced. It is a nutrient-dense food. It also cuts down on pollution. It's also natural manure that improves the field's soil quality significantly. This is how sustainable farming is done, and it does so without adding to the pollution. Tell us that there are presently 4.60 lakh cows in 'Arla.' Only a few farmers, however, are now involved in the process of generating power from cow manure. However, analysts believe it has the potential to shift the game in favour of renewable energy.
