Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Lok Sabha MP from Ambedkar Nagar, Ritesh Pandey has resigned from the primary membership of the party on 25 February 2024. After Ritesh Pandey's resignation, Mayawati has made a post on X, although in it she has not written Ritesh Pandey's name anywhere.
Resignation and Mayawati's reply:
Ritesh Pandey wrote in his resignation letter sent to Mayawati, 'When I joined BSP, I got your guidance and party officials and workers gave every possible support. The party gave me the opportunity to represent in the UP Assembly and Lok Sabha and also to serve as the leader of the parliamentary party. For this trust, I express my gratitude from the bottom of my heart to you, the party, party workers and supporters.
He further wrote in the letter, 'For a long time, I was neither being called to party meetings nor was being communicated with at the leadership level. I have made numerous attempts to contact and meet you and top officials but no solution has been found. During this period, I kept meeting people and party workers in my area continuously. I have come to the conclusion that the party no longer needs my service and presence and hence I have no option but to resign from the party. The decision to break ties with the party is an emotionally difficult decision. You are requested to accept my resignation immediately. I once again express my gratitude to you and the party and send my best wishes.
Mayawati has made a post on X after Ritesh Pandey's resignation, although she has not written Ritesh Pandey's name anywhere in it. Mayawati said, along with being a political party, BSP is also a movement dedicated to the mission of self-respect and self-respect of the most revered Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, due to which the policy and working style of this party is different from the capitalist parties of the country, keeping this in mind. The party also fields candidates in the elections.
He wrote in the next post, 'Now the BSP MPs, after meeting this criterion, have to check themselves whether they took proper care of the people of their area? Did you devote full time to your field? Also, has he properly followed the guidelines given from time to time in the interest of the party and the movement?
