Covid infection, which wreaked havoc in the second wave, has now changed its appearance. A new variant of the virus, named 'Delta Plus' or 'AY.1', has been found. It is made up of covid 'delta' variant, which increased the infection a lot. But the question is whether this variant can also create a hue and cry again. On this, CIR-IGIB Director Agarwal said that there is nothing to worry about in India about this type of virus. He said that blood plasma of people who have taken full doses of vaccine will have to test such a type of virus which will indicate whether it can dodge immunity or not.

"How contagious this new type is," said the guest teacher force at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune. It may be important or reversed in testing the ability to spread rapidly. He has said that the quality and number of antibody that protects cells from microbes in a newly infected person is not expected to be affected due to mutation.

Vinod Skaria, a scientist at the Institute of CSIR- Ginomiki and The Institute of Combined Biology (IGIB) in Delhi, tweeted, "B1.617.2 types have been created due to K417N mutation. It is also known as AY.1. He said the change has occurred in the spike protein of SARS COV-2 that helps in infecting the virus by entering human cells. Scaria tweeted, "The type of K417N in India is not very high yet. These sequences have mostly come from Europe, Asia and the US."

"Mutation can also be related to immunity against viruses," Scaria added. Immunity expert Vinita Bal said, however, the use of antibody cocktails has been dealt a blow due to the new type of virus. But, which does not mean that the virus is more contagious or will make the disease more deadly. Delta+' is formed by changes in the type 'delta' or 'B1.617.2' of the variant covid infection. Delta variant was first identified in India. It is said that the same variant was responsible for the second wave of the Covid epidemic in India.
