Kolkata: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday night searched some other possible targets from Kolkata to 24 South Parganas in search of former Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar. The CBI also raided his UP residence, but no clues have been found. According to CBI sources, senior police officer Rajeev is not only avoiding his mobile calls but also changing his whereabouts.

Former Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar is wanted by the federal agency in connection with the investigation into the Sharda chit fund scam. Rajeev Kumar has not been publicly shown since Thursday evening after the Kolkata High Court removed the interim relief granted to him from his arrest. Even after sending several notices by the investigating agency, he did not appear before the CBI.

The Special Investigation Team of CBI set up to search for Rajeev Kumar in Alipore, along with Kumar's official residence at Park Street, in a five-star hotel on the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass. CBI said that soon they will find out the whereabouts of Rajeev Kumar.
