New Delhi: Congress has appointed Supriya Shrinate as the party's national spokesperson. She works as a senior editor on an English TV channel. Supriya was standing on the Congress ticket in the last Lok Sabha election from Maharajganj seat of UP. But she did not succeed. Congress has once again done this appointment by paying attention to feminism. Supriya's father Late Harshvardhan Singh has also been a prominent leader and MP of the Congress Party. Recently, Congress had made two appointments in which two leaders from the family background were given important posts in the party. Supriya was born in February 1977.
