Karimnagar: TPCC President A Revanth Reddy campaigned for the party's candidate Balamuri Venkat by holding a roadshow at Vinavanka in the district on Saturday. Addressing the gathering, Revanth Reddy said that the bypoll was forced on the people by two political opponents. He appealed to the voters to choose Congress candidate Venkat, whom he described as an able candidate and would serve as the voice of the people of Huzurabad in the state assembly.

Former MP Ponnam Prabhakar and MLC Jeevam Reddy were also present with him in the campaign. A Revanth Reddy said the heavy grain production was a result of the SRSP project constructed by the Congress government. The TPCC chief accused both the central and state governments of robbing people by drastically increasing the prices of petrol and diesel. The TRS and the BJP are together and they act as if they are fighting each other in the state, while cooperating in New Delhi, he alleged. 

On the remarks of TRS leaders that he met BJP leader Eatala Rajendra at a hotel, he said that he had met V Narendra Reddy in the presence of thousands of people on May 7 during an event related to his marriage. Rajendra also met Congress leader Bhatti Vikramarka and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, he said.
