Defense Minister Rajnath Singh bow down to martyrs of Kargil, says, 'Salute to the brave soldiers'

New Delhi: On the completion of 21 years of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Defense Minister of the country, Rajnath Singh, has saluted the brave soldiers and martyrs of the Indian Army for their indomitable valor. Today, the Union Defense Minister, the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) and the heads of the three services will pay tribute to the martyrs at the National War Memorial in Delhi.

Today is celebrated in honor of the soldiers who received Veergati in the Kargil war. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted from his official Twitter handle, writing that, 'On the 21st anniversary of Kargil Vijay, I want to salute the brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who have fought the enemy in the world's most challenging conditions in recent history'. In another tweet, Rajnath Singh said, 'I am also thankful to those who continued to serve the country in their own way even after being incapable of war and set worthy examples of emulation.'

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in another tweet that, 'Kargil Victory Day is really a celebration of India's glorious tradition of outstanding military service, exemplary valor and sacrifice. The indomitable courage and patriotism of our armed forces has ensured that India is safe and secure.'
