Amit Shah said that he is saying that CAA will take away the citizenship of Muslims. However, this is not the reality. Amit Shah said that we will not allow citizenship of any Muslim or minority person under the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Union Home Minister Amit Shah again reiterated that CAA is not an act of taking citizenship, but it is a law to grant citizenship. Citizenship will be given to those who come from the Hindu, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain and Zoroastrian communities that remained in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh during Partition.
