New Delhi: Opposition to the new agricultural laws brought by the central government continues today for the 12th day. Bharat Bandh has been announced on December 8. Meanwhile, high officials of the government believe that the chances of the government withdrawing the new law are slim.

According to government officials, the government is ready for some changes in other options like laws. This issue can be resolved only through dialogue. If this does not work and the agitation of the farmers continues, then the government is also ready to face it. These statements of government officials have come when the government has accepted the demand to change some provisions of the law. Farmers were told by the government that they were ready to change some provisions of the laws, give MSP and written assurances on procurement, but farmer representatives insisted on repealing all three laws.

A big leader said that the purpose of these laws is to bring necessary agricultural reforms beyond politics. While preparing for the December 9 round of meeting, on Sunday, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, who is leading the government team in the farmers' talks, held a meeting with two of his personnel, Kailash Chaudhary and Parshottam Rupala.
