In this case, the deceased has been identified as Sarabjit Kaur (29), a resident of Kakra village in Bhiwanigarh, Sangrur.
According to the information found in the police investigation, 'Sector-30 resident Maninder (31) had booked the room in the hotel for two days on the evening of 30 December. The footage has revealed that the two assembled went to the hotel room and after that Maninder escaped from the hotel at 11.56 pm the same night. The incident was revealed when it was time for checkout on Wednesday afternoon. "In this case, the police control room was informed at 1.30 pm on Wednesday that the girl's room number (301) of Sky Hotel in Industrial Area Phase-2 was found to have a cutthroat. And on information, SSP Neelambari Vijay Jagdale, along with Sector-31 Police Station Incharge reached the spot and started the investigation. At the same time, he has reported that there were marks of the sharp weapon on the young woman's neck. The forensic team seized finger prints and collected significant evidence by videography.
It is being told that Sarabjit Kaur was in a relationship with the accused of two years. Talk about accused Maninder Singh, he used to do a private job in Industrial Area Phase-1. He quit his job three months ago. Police say that Maninder also killed his first girlfriend and arrested her at that time. At the same time, the court convicted him and sentenced him to life imprisonment and after serving a sentence of about five and a half years, Maninder got bail from the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
