Today, a new date for the opening of the doors of Kedarnath Dham was to be set. During this, senior pilgrims decided that the doors would open only on April 29. After this, now the Sribdarinath Dimri Religious Central Panchayat has demanded the opening of the Kapit of Badrinath Dham on 30th of April, just like Kedarnath. In a letter sent to Tehri King Manujendra Shah, Panchayat spokesman and chairman of the Law Committee said that according to religious beliefs, Lord Badrinath is worshiped during the winter. Worship of Badrinath is started by humans from Baishakh month every year. This is the classical law. Changing the date to May 15, the doors of the dham are opening in the Krishna side in the month of Jeth.

Due to which violation of scriptural beliefs is being violated, which is unfair. They have also raised a demand for reconsideration of the Badrinath Dham doors as per the earlier schedule. The date of opening the doors of Badrinath Dham has been changed in view of the Corona lockdown. Now the doors of Badrinath will open on 15 May. This is the first time in history when the date of opening of the doors has been changed. The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Kedarnath Rawal Bhimashankar Linga in the presence of senior Tirthapurohit, Acharya and Vedpathis along with key people of Panchagai Samiti at the Panchkadar Gaddisthal Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath.

It was said that in the meeting, the pilgrims strongly opposed the change in opening of the doors. According to sources, the Teerth-Purohit gave two arguments in the meeting. The first is that even before the pilgrimage in Kedarnath Dham has been the main worshiper of the opening of the doors. The second argument was that the date of opening of the doors or changing the lagna is not auspicious. It was also revealed in the meeting that if the date of opening the doors of Kedarnath Dham changes, then it will also have to change the date of opening the doors of the second Kedar Lord Madmaheshwar and the third Kedar Lord Tungnath Dham, which already have been set for May 11 and May 20 respectively.
