Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is celebrating his birthday today. On his birthday, he is going to organize an 'Open House' for the general public. The event is scheduled to be held at the CM's residence in the capital Raipur. No 'appointment' is going to be required in this Janata Darbar. Anyone can come and meet them and make their point. Along with this, many programs are going to be organized on his birthday. On this occasion, he will also give many gifts to the state.

Bhupesh Baghel is also going to attend the program organized in his election area Patan on his birthday. In this program, he is going to honour 34 social heads of the Patan assembly constituency. He is also going to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development works worth crores of rupees. CM Baghel will also distribute shoes, stockings and ties to school children. He is also going to honour 10 teachers and distribute cheques to the beneficiaries of various schemes.  

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister: Under the leadership of Bhupesh Baghel, Congress gave the party a big victory in the 2018 elections. After which he was made CM. Bhupesh Baghel is the first CM of Chhattisgarh who has become CM after winning the election. Earlier, the first CM of the state Ajit Jogi and the second Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh was first elected CM and then won the by-election and reached the Assembly. Chhattisgarh was carved out of Madhya Pradesh on November 1, 2000. There was a Congress government in the united Madhya Pradesh. After which the Congress government was formed in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Ajit Jogi. Later, he won the by-election from the Marwahi assembly seat and reached the assembly.

After this, the BJP won the first election of the Chhattisgarh Assembly held in 2003. At that time, Dr Raman Singh was the state president of the BJP. He was made CM. Later, he won the by-election from the Rajnandgaon seat in 2004. Bhupesh Baghel contested the 2018 elections from the Patan assembly seat. He defeated BJP's Motilal Sahu by a margin of 9,343 votes.
