Raipur: A case of a teacher has come to light about her objectionable behavior toward Lord Krishna and beating up students those fasting on Janmashtami festival. Let us share that this incident was reported from a government school in Chhattisgarh. The case pertains to a middle school in Bundapara village under Kondagaon district, about 200 kilometres from the capital Raipur. According to media reports, the accused teacher Charan Makam has been suspended after initial inquiry.

The report quoted police as saying that the case dates down to Tuesday, August 31, 2021. The gram panchayat and villagers had complained in this regard after students of classes VII and VIII were beaten up. Officials said the teacher had asked the students which of them had observed the Janmashtami fast and offered prayers. The students who raised their hands saying yes were allegedly brutally beaten up by The Maram. Kondagaon Collector Pushpendra Kumar Meena said that the suspension order of Charan Maram, a teacher posted in the government middle school of Girola Gram Panchayat, was issued on Wednesday (September 1, 2021) on the basis of a preliminary inquiry into the complaint lodged against him.

He said the Gram Panchayat and local villagers had complained that Maram allegedly thrashed some students who fasted on Janmashtami on Tuesday and also made obscene remarks about Lord Krishna. According to reports, the teacher first questioned the children as to who had fasted. The child who had fasted was beaten up. In addition, in the classroom itself, the children were given false and misleading information about the deities. There was an uproar when the video went viral.
