Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday has unveiled a special scheme through video conferencing from Chandigarh headquarters. She has started 2 ambitious projects (Women and Kishori Samman Yojana and Chief Minister Milk Gift Scheme) in the Women and Child Development Department. CM Manohar Lal has said many things while starting these schemes. He told that under the Mahila and Kishori Samman Yojana, women and adolescent girls of BPL and AAY families of 10 to 45 years will get benefit. On behalf of the government, they will be given free sanitary napkins through Anganwadi Centers and Education Department.

The Chief Minister said that taking care of the health of women and young children is paramount for the government, because today's children will be the future of tomorrow. A healthy woman gives birth to a healthy child in future India. He said that the administration will implement these schemes better in all the districts of the state. The cities whose names are below the list in the state in terms of health and hygiene for women and children, the Deputy Commissioner of those cities should take special efforts in this direction by including these two projects in their flagship program.

CM said that girls studying in the school are particularly hesitant to talk about their menstruation, but the government will take care of them and in the month, 6 sanitary pads will be given free to the students in the Vidyalaya. Referring to the Chief Minister's Milk Gift Scheme, the Chief Minister said that in many areas women and children get complaints of anemia. For the purpose of removing this problem, the problem of malnutrition in pregnant women and lactating mothers and children up to 6 years is to be eliminated. Due to which fortified sweet scented skimmed milk will be given through Anganwadi centers.
