Leh: The tensions in the two countries have been at a peak since the clashes between Indian and Chinese forces on Monday in the Galvan Valley of Ladakh. While China has already mobilized its large arms and military squads near the border under the guise of maneuvers, the Indian Army has also made full preparations to retaliate.

In recent times, there has been a sudden rise in the movement of Chinese fighter jets along the border with Ladakh. Fighter aircraft such as China's J-10, J-11 are flying close to the border. According to a study published in March by the Belfer Center, India has about 270 fighter aircraft and 68 ground attack fighter jets.

India has built several airstrips along the border with China over the last few decades from where these fighter jets can easily take off. According to this study, China has a fleet of 157 fighter aircraft and a small drone. In this study, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China uses eight bases in the border area with India, but most of them are civilian airspace.
